Prime Suites - Oia (Santorini)

We had a lovely stay in the Cave Suite Caldera View. The unique cave-style design was wonderful, and the amazing views from our balcony were stunning! we were surprised that the kitchenette was under-equipped, lacking even a kettle or coffee maker.

The room was ok, cave style and all and was spacious.

The service is pathetic. Reception closes at 6 in the evening. Breakfast was poor. There was no porter available even at 11 in the morning and I saw atleast 4 guests lugging their own bags. Terrible location by Oia standards and completely not worth it. I recommend Golden sunset villas which is way better.

Very disappointing rooms; decor was old and filty with ancient furniture from Ikea. Bathroom was moldy with shower curtains that seemed have been used for years. Pictures very decieving. Location was average; have to yank up and down some sleep stairs. Sea view from outside of room average; not 100% sunset view (the sunset is the reason to go to Oia). Blanket provided was 1 piece of wool cloth; again with a long history. Breakfast was awful; cold scrambled eggs and few slices of coldcuts / cheese. 1 type of cereal with no yogurt / fruits. Cold coffee. Under-staffed and cant seem to solve the numerous problems from all hotel clients (e.g. no hot water; change of rooms, no amenities provided..etc). Price is not reasonable either.

Amazing views and charming cave-style rooms

The cave-style design was unique and comfortable. The location was perfect for easy access to local attractions and sunset spots. The steep stairs can be a challenge, so be prepared for a bit of a workout getting to and from your room.

The location is good, just two minutes walk to Oia sight seeing point. The view from the room is good. The reception is next to the bus stop, you don't waste time to search for it.

I'm a little bit worry about the security of the hotel, because the hotel is rounded by the village and easily be accessed. There was no air-conditioning at my room. The drain at the bathroom is always flooded with water, as the water is drained away very very slowly.

1) our view fr room is blocked by a house at the front 2) bathroom & toilet is too small 3) the room & facilities are old, not looking very much the same as the pic shown in website 4) No swimming pool! Only jacuzzi, but it needs repair, didn't work well.

100% recommend for a lightning stop

Spacious room, fine view. The amazing caldera views from the terrace made our mornings lovely, and the convenient airport shuttle made our arrival stress-free.

Nicely decorated room with splendid view of Aegen sea. What a caring staff! Early check in and late check out. Not to mention strong wifi! Location not far from good restaurants and shopping. Nearby Marykay's Bar - great place to chill out.

I had a wonderful experience , especially with the amazing views from our room and the convenient access to Oia's Main Street just a few steps away, making it perfect for leisurely strolls through this fine village.

The staff are nice and helpful and the view is good

The water will run into the sitting room when showering. The balcony is not "private", everyone else can use it and you can't see the sunset view from the "private" balcony, you need to go to another public terrance which is around 10 - 15 mintues walk from the hotel. We could have a better choice and have a real "private" balcony and sunset view with this level of money. The photos on website is a little bit of mislead.

The best part of our stay was the hospitality of the staff. Especially Elena the receptionist. She was very professional and at the same time flexible when it comes to taking care of her guest. She is definitely as staff that you would want to keep.

Fine views, interesting stay

Tia at check-in was super nice and super helpful. The place was roomy and clean, but the kitchen could've used some more utensils. Plus, packing light is a must with all the stairs! Breakfast at a nearby place was tasty too.

The location of our room is very near the main street of Oia and offers views of the caldera. Santorini is a lovely island, unfortunately Residence Suites failed to live up to our expectations.

The "standard suite" we stayed in was overpriced and looking really tired, despite claims that it was recently renovated in 2010. Bathroom was tiny and mouldy. The view from the balcony was fantastic but was obstructed. The furniture on the balcony was old and had cobwebs forming. We had an ant trail outside our door 2 out of the 3 nights we were there (though staff were helpful in cleaning up). I see this surfacing in other reviews too, so it wasnt an issue unique to our stay. Overall, this hotel is 3-star standard. Quick post-trip research also shows that we could've gotten better options with the same amount we paid. Will suggest that management look into revising the pricing. Additional note to first timers who are visiting santorini: many hotels offer caldera views, but if its the ultimate romantic experience u're after, make sure u book somewhere w a sunset view.

The view over the sea is spectacular and the hotel is a little oasis of calm and tranquility where you feel you can truly relax. The rooms are a high standard and extremely comfortable. Sitting on the terrace in the evening was a full delight. The staff is an excellent host and has made this hotel a wonderful destination for anyone wishing to enjoy some truly rest and relaxation
